Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Fort Adams Trust respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information collected through our website and related visitor, event, and supporter services.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide when you contact us, request information about an event, volunteer, explore a corporate partnership, or sign up for email updates. This may include your name, email address, phone number, organization, interests, and the details of your request. Please do not include payment card numbers or other sensitive information in inquiry forms.

When you book a tour, buy tickets, donate, or purchase a membership, our booking and payment providers collect information needed to process the transaction. We may receive contact information, transaction details, and payment status to administer your booking, gift, or membership. Payment card details are entered through the provider’s checkout rather than our website inquiry forms.

Our hosting and service providers may also collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and the date and time of a request, to deliver and secure the website.

How we use information

We use information to respond to questions, plan visits and events, coordinate volunteers and partnerships, manage donations and memberships, provide receipts and service updates, and operate and protect our website. If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send Fort Adams news and event information.

Service providers and sharing

We share information with providers that help us deliver these services, including Cloudflare for website hosting, HighLevel for contact management, hosted forms, and website activity tracking, and FareHarbor for tour bookings. Booking and payment providers may use their own payment processors. Their privacy policies govern information they collect through their services.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of visitors, the Trust, or others.

Cookies, embedded services, and external links

We use HighLevel’s external tracking service to help us understand website visits and interactions in connection with our contact management and marketing activities. The service may use cookies or similar technologies and receive information about your browser and website activity.

Some features use third-party services, including booking tools, Google Maps, and the WMVision live camera player hosted by Wetmet. When those services load or you follow an external link, the provider may receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. External sites are responsible for their own content and privacy practices.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party content may affect booking, map, or other website features.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent messages needed to respond to your request or administer a booking, donation, or membership.

You may contact us to ask about the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records needed for transactions, legal obligations, or other legitimate purposes. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining donation and transaction records and meeting legal and accounting obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

Our website forms are intended for adults arranging visits, activities, or support for the Trust. We do not knowingly collect personal information through these forms from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date below identifies the latest revision. Please review this page periodically.
